Why should you follow your child's teacher on Twitter?

Following your child's teacher on Twitter will provide you with an online portfolio of your child's work and technology projects they either create using the ipad or laptop. It is a great way to share your child's work with family and friends. Grandparents will be especially tickled to see their progress throughout the school year. In Kinder, you will be amazed to see the growth from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. They are are welcome to follow me as well. My students safety comes first when it comes to diving into the classroom of the future. We teach digital citizenship at the beginning of every school year to educate our class on how to be safe online. I never post last names, only first names for parents to be able to indentify their child's work. Students never use the internet with my supervision. I am usually the one posting projects for them. Twitter is an excellent way to stay connected with your child's classroom and feel as though you are right there with them all day.
